Q2 FY26 Financial Performance

The most notable figure was record quarterly revenue of $392.4 million — up 104% year-over-year and 27% sequentially. The strong performance was driven by broad-based growth across AI fabric infrastructure and signal conditioning solutions, with the Aries product family achieving record quarterly revenue. At the same time, Astera Labs expects its Scorpio fabric switches to become the company’s largest product family in Q3, earlier than previously anticipated.

On a GAAP basis, the quarter looked like this versus a year ago:

  • Gross profit: $287.6 million, nearly doubling from $145.6 million.
  • Gross margin: 73.3%, a slight step down from 75.8% last year.
  • Operating income: $89.2 million, up from $39.8 million.
  • Operating margin: 22.7%, improving from 20.7%.
  • Net income: $153.1 million, versus $51.2 million.
  • Diluted EPS: $0.83, versus $0.29.

Stripping out stock-based compensation and other items, the non-GAAP picture is even cleaner: 73.7% gross margin (vs. 76.0% a year ago), $153.5 million operating income, a 39.1% operating margin (essentially flat against 39.2%), $145.8 million net income, and $0.80 diluted EPS.

The company ended the quarter with $111.5 million in cash and cash equivalents.

Product Portfolio Innovations & Strategic Partnerships

Operationally, Astera Labs continued strengthening its technology leadership. During the quarter, the company expanded its Taurus Smart Signal Conditioner portfolio with new 3.2T Smart Retimers and Smart Redrivers designed for 224G Ethernet and UALink connectivity. These products introduce Smart Swap compatibility under the OCP standard footprint, allowing architects to switch between retimers and redrivers without board re-design while leveraging Astera Labs' Unified COSMOS software for enhanced diagnostics and telemetry.

The company also showcased several new technologies at Computex 2026, including the first public demonstration of the Scorpio X-Series 320-Lane Smart Fabric Switch, ultra-low-latency optical connectivity, NVIDIA MGX-based reference designs, and COSMOS-enabled rack-level validation. At AMD Advancing AI 2026, Astera Labs further demonstrated interoperability across AMD Instinct platforms (with Scorpio P-Series 320L and Leo CXL memory controllers) and Taurus 1.6T Smart Ethernet Retimers, highlighting its expanding role throughout the AI infrastructure ecosystem with full-stack interop validated end to end.

To support future demand, Astera Labs announced a significant expansion of its Taiwan operations and Cloud-Scale Interop Lab. The larger footprint strengthens collaboration with major semiconductor and AI platform partners, including AMD, Arm, Intel, and NVIDIA.

Q3 FY26 Guidance

Looking ahead, management expects another significant acceleration in the third quarter. Revenue is projected between $540 million and $560 million. The company forecasts approximately 72% gross margin while guiding for non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of $1.16 to $1.21 and GAAP diluted EPS of $0.87 to $0.92.

ALAB Stock Technical Analysis

From a technical perspective, ALAB remains in a strong long-term uptrend following its earnings-driven momentum. The key resistance level is $352. A decisive breakout and sustained move above this level could open the path toward the next upside target around $386, reflecting continued investor confidence in the company's AI infrastructure growth story.

However, if buyers fail to overcome resistance, the stock could enter a period of consolidation. Initial downside support is located near $271. A deeper correction could bring the stock toward the next major support around $249.
